The Mackay Specialist Palliative Care Service provides a specialist palliative care service to people with advanced progressing life-limiting conditions. MSPCS provide person-centred, holistic care to enable patients to live as well as possible until death.

The Mackay Palliative Care Service incorporates:

  • a community service to the geographical area 45km from Mackay Base Hospital by road.
  • in-reach medical consultancy to inpatients in Mackay Base Hospital

The Mackay Palliative Care Service is a multidisciplinary team, including Palliative Care Specialists, Registrars, Nursing (CNC and CNs), Social Worker, OT, Pharmacist, Bereavement Co-ordinator, Administration Officer.
